What to Expect
If you were to come to one of our Sunday services you would find a mix of people not unlike the community that we live in.
Some of us would be dressed casually, in jeans and sneakers. A few might be wearing a sport coat and tie. The point is we’d be wearing clothes in which we feel comfortable.
During the service you could expect to experience these elements almost every week:
1. We sing together.
Singing songs to and about God reminds us of what is important in life. Singing together reminds us that we are not alone.
2. We take communion.
Communion is a common name for the celebration of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us in his life and death. It reminds us of Christ and of his church around the world.
3. We take an offering.
This is the way that we support our church financially. The donations collected go to everything that you’d imagine a church might have to pay-from the water bill, the lights and everything in between. In addition, we support other local ministries, missions and give to help our neighbors in need.
4. We have a teaching that is biblically based and grounded in everyday life.
We believe that the Bible provides the guidance we need to navigate life. It speaks to each of us at the place we are.
5. We have a time of prayer.
We always want to make time to pray with each other. Too many people go through life with no one to talk to and no place to go with their concerns. In our time of prayer we connect with one another and with God.
